A special summer-only class where students get the rare chance to explore methods of building in large-scale! Sculptor Yve Holtzclaw will share methods with a limited group of people on techniques specific to building successful large scale work. The class will include a special bisque firing of large scale work in one of the studio's gas kilns, guaranteeing students will be able to see their work at least through the bisque stage, with the ability to have your work glaze fired later on for additional fees if desired. The studio's strict 20" scale limit is lifted for the purpose of this class, allowing students the chance to experiment with big, bold sculpture with the instruction of a pro at working large scale. Don't miss this special opportunity if you've ever wanted to experiment with working big!
Included in class fee:
- First TWO bags of clay
- Firing of class work through bisque stage
- Access to appointment time to work on projects outside of class time
- Access outside of class time will be restricted to business hours when other classes and programs are not in session in the classroom, and additional monitored times. Your instructor will orient you on how to reserve open studio access on the first day of class.
Class limited to 8 students max.
